Robert 'Bob' Hatton is the deceased brother of Sandra Brockman, uncle of Pete, Justin, Jane, Brenda and Maddy Brockman and great-uncle of Ben, Karen and Jake Brockman. Before he met his homosexual lover Bernard, he was married to a woman called Dorothy.
History
In the episode The Funeral, the Brockman family attend Bob's funeral. After some debate, Pete ends up reading Bob's eulogy, which causes Sue to laugh, due to Pete accidentally saying 'a mournful gay' rather than 'a mournful day'. Pete was also unsure as to wether or not Bernard should be mentioned in the eulogy. Pete ended up mentioning Bernard, much to his disapproval.
